Growth Hacking Fundamentals
Growth hacking taught me about how to increase traffic on internet pages. The first thing that it covered was hotmail and how they used emails to market their product by adding their tagline at the bottom of all their emails. It then goes into what is a successful growth hacker. Successful growth hackers are people who know a lot about the product and how to take advantage of that. In order to take advantage of growth hacking a growth hacker must understand the customers so they can funnel them to pages. Funnels can show how businesses are doing and what different processes are driving business. In order to find customers and increase sales a business must find who needs their category of product. Once they find this out they need to find out how their product fits their audience this is important because its not good enough to be the first in a industry you must fit the industry. It also informs me about how to track the growth of a website by where people are clicking creating a heat map as well as different touch points. It also talks about remarketing which was very useful to show how business can find visitors to target with your ads to people who have been on your website.  Website can also be useful in order to get customers to come back which is important because they can be free marketing and help get new customers and increase revenue. Influencers are also talked about in the video. To identify them businesses should see who are active and loyal and if they are influential and once they find them businesses can do this through using them as beta testers. It also covers virality and how businesses can achieve that. They can do that by finding the times which their audience is online as well as what content which they are interested in. This was very useful in helping me understand how to increase growth of a business and how to execute a plan which can increase the growth of a business.

SEO Foundations
This video was very useful to help me learn about how to increase the way that search engines can find a businesses content. First it talked about how search engines work. Search engines have blended results which mix in images, videos, and articles together. One thing it said to focus on was to create relevant content to people trying to find you. Focus on tags which are relevant. Keywords can be long or short. First businesses should look at what tags are relevant to their industry. A business should not be too broad because it can have too much competition and it should not be too specific because it may not be able to be found by users. It went into the way that search engines evaluate websites and how they use the code of a website to optimize the content which is searched on their search engine. Search engines must understand how the website works and where the content is so in order to be useful on a search engine a business must make their page clear and make everything easy to find. The performance of all of this can be found on google analytics   and this can help businesses understand how they are doing and if they need to change something. This can help businesses to monitor and stay relevant and they should always be keeping up with the industry. It also covered how to use bing analytics to see how your business is doing in both search engines.  It also covered how to leverage social media to get business content to get them to be able to see content and to put follow buttons which you are trying to cover. They also covered how to utilize links a business want to have a lot of their links posted on their website but more importantly be on a page which is popular and be relevant to the content which is posting. This was very useful because it helped me understand how search engines are used in order to increase the success of a business.

Online Marketing Foundations
This course covered many topics which were helpful. The main things it said to focus on was the mission statement, value proposition and elevator pitch. Interestingly the elevator pitch was very important because of the way that social media works and the limited amount of characters on those sites. It covered a couple of formulas that were useful such as cost per acquisition and lifetime value which help businesses understand how the money that they are spending  is going towards advertising. This lead to the highlighting of the use of analytics and how to monitor them on google analytics.Another thing that it covered was how to find web designers as well as app developers. One thing it made very clear when coming to finding the people to help you is to do your research on them and look at their previous work. Other good content that was provided was on website pages was to help grab people's attention such as using teaser pages, squeeze pages, infomercial pages and viral pages. The most interesting thing was the teaser pages because before I thought you should direct people directly to a homepage but that may overload a user. One of the most useful formulas that it taught me was the key performance indicators. These can tell what is working and what is not working when it comes to content you are posting. One thing it can help with is decreasing the bounce rate, which is the rate which people look at a page and leave. Businesses look to complete a task and decrease the bounce rate so they need to reach their audience within seconds. The final thing that was very useful was the use of social media. Social media can be used based on the audience on the page. Each social media connects to a specific demographic which is important based on who someone is trying to target. These videos were very important to helping me learn more about how to use the internet to help drive business success .
